I started out this project in December 2017 triggered by the close of all physical stores of my favorite brand. I was devastated as it would be difficult to find my best fit if I cannot try on the clothes in store. Like many of us, we are not super models with perfect sizes and heavenly shapes. Different brands have different sizes and measurements with different types of materials to complicate the online shopping. If there is no standard size and we all have our own unique measurements, how will we be able to purchase clothes without trying on first? This is the reason why we need ViMODE, an e-commerce marketplace with a special feature of virtual fitting room. With the recent C-19, I had conducted a short survey on online shopping and it confirmed that ViMODE is what we need.
For the love of solving puzzles, I took on this project and had sustained various turbulence along the way. I had learnt abundantly on the technical side as well as on the project management side as I collaborated with a virtual team overseas. This is a true startup experience as I built from ground up including overseeing the set up process of the entity, managing external vendors, and eventually the PR and digital marketing side after launch.
This had been the best experience in my life and wouldn’t have done it differently.
